DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 134/2025

amending Annex IX (Financial services) to the EEA Agreement [2025/1862]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/3117 of 29 November 2024 laying down implementing technical standards for the application of Regulation (EU) No 575/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to supervisory reporting of institutions and repealing Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/451 ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/3117 repeals, with effect from 31 December 2025, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/451 ( 2 ) , which is incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which is consequently to be repealed under the EEA Agreement with effect from 31 December 2025.

(3) Annex IX to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Annex IX to the EEA Agreement is amended as follows:

The following point is inserted after point 14azzs (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2024/1780):

‘14azzt.

32024 R 3117 : Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/3117 of 29 November 2024 laying down implementing technical standards for the application of Regulation (EU) No 575/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to supervisory reporting of institutions and repealing Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/451 ( OJ L, 2024/3117, 27.12.2024 ).’

The text of point 14ab (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/451) shall be deleted with effect from 31 December 2025.

Article 2

The text of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/3117 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 14 June 2025, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) .

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
