DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 73/2025

amending Annex IX (Financial services) to the EEA Agreement [2025/1012]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/1117 of 12 January 2023 supplementing Directive (EU) 2019/2034 of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to regulatory technical standards specifying requirements for the type and nature of the information to be exchanged by competent authorities of home and host Member States ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/1118 of 12 January 2023 supplementing Directive (EU) 2019/2034 of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to regulatory technical standards specifying the conditions under which colleges of supervisors exercise their tasks ( 2 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(3) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1119 of 12 January 2023 laying down implementing technical standards for the application of Directive (EU) 2019/2034 of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to standard forms, templates and procedures for the information sharing between the competent authorities of home and host Member States ( 3 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(4) Annex IX to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The following points are inserted after point 19dd (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/389) of Annex IX to the EEA Agreement:

Article 2

The texts of Delegated Regulations (EU) 2023/1117 and (EU) 2023/1118 and Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1119 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 15 March 2025, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) , or on the day of the entry into force of Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 70/2025 of 14 March 2025 ( 4 ) , whichever is the later.

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
