DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 84/2025

amending Annex XX (Environment) to the EEA Agreement [2025/978]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2024/2974 of 29 November 2024 establishing the best available techniques (BAT) conclusions, under Directive 2010/75/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on industrial emissions, for the smitheries and foundries industry ( 1 ) , as corrected by OJ L, 2024/90826, 20.12.2024 , is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Annex XX to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The following point is inserted after point 1fzb (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/2749) of Annex XX to the EEA Agreement:

32024 D 2974 : Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2024/2974 of 29 November 2024 establishing the best available techniques (BAT) conclusions, under Directive 2010/75/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on industrial emissions, for the smitheries and foundries industry ( OJ L, 2024/2974, 6.12.2024 ), as corrected by OJ L, 2024/90826, 20.12.2024 .’

Article 2

The text of Implementing Decision (EU) 2024/2974, as corrected by OJ L, 2024/90826, 20.12.2024 , in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 15 March 2025, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) .

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
