§ 1437bbb–8 - Definitions

CHAPTER 8— LOW-INCOME HOUSING › SUBCHAPTER II–B— HOME RULE FLEXIBLE GRANT DEMONSTRATION

For purposes of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply:

(1) The term “jurisdiction” means—

(1)(A) a unit of general local government (as such term is defined in section 12704 of this title) that has boundaries, for purposes of carrying out this subchapter, that—

(1)(A)(i) wholly contain the area within which a public housing agency is authorized to operate; and

(1)(A)(ii) do not contain any areas contained within the boundaries of any other participating jurisdiction; and

(1)(B) a consortia of such units of general local government, organized for purposes of this subchapter.

(2) The term “participating jurisdiction” means, with respect to a period for which such an agreement is made, a jurisdiction that has entered into an agreement under section 1437bbb–5(b)(3) of this title to receive assistance pursuant to this subchapter for such fiscal year.
