§ 4431 - Definitions

CHAPTER 28— TRADE FACILITATION AND TRADE ENFORCEMENT › SUBCHAPTER VII— PRECLEARANCE OPERATIONS

In this subchapter:

(1) The term “appropriate congressional committees” means—

(1)(A) the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, the Committee on Finance, the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, and the Committee on Appropriations of the Senate; and

(1)(B) the Committee on Homeland Security, the Committee on Ways and Means, and the Committee on Appropriations of the House of Representatives.

(2) The term “Secretary” means the Secretary of Homeland Security.
