§ 583k–4 - Cooperative agreements

CHAPTER 3— FORESTS; FOREST SERVICE; REFORESTATION; MANAGEMENT › SUBCHAPTER VI— NATIONAL FOREST SYSTEM TRAILS STEWARDSHIP

(a) The Secretary may enter into a cooperative agreement with any State, tribal, local governmental, and private entity to carry out this subchapter.

(b) Cooperative agreements authorized under this section may—

(b)(1) improve trail maintenance in a priority area;

(b)(2) implement the strategy; or

(b)(3) advance trail maintenance in a manner deemed appropriate by the Secretary.
