DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 149/2026

amending Annex XIII (Transport) to the EEA Agreement [2026/1524]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/118 of 7 November 2025 supplementing Directive (EU) 2017/2397 of the European Parliament and of the Council by laying down standards for competences and corresponding knowledge and skills, for practical examinations, for the approval of simulators and for medical fitness and repealing Commission Delegated Directive (EU) 2020/12 ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/118 repeals Commission Delegated Directive (EU) 2020/12 ( 2 ) , which is incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which is consequently to be repealed under the EEA Agreement.

(3) Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The text of point 46d (Commission Delegated Directive (EU) 2020/12) of Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement is replaced by the following:

‘ 32026 R 0118 : Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/118 of 7 November 2025 supplementing Directive (EU) 2017/2397 of the European Parliament and of the Council by laying down standards for competences and corresponding knowledge and skills, for practical examinations, for the approval of simulators and for medical fitness and repealing Commission Delegated Directive (EU) 2020/12 ( OJ L, 2026/118, 23.1.2026 ).’

Article 2

The text of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/118 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 1 May 2026, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) .

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
